The Xvivo barrier isolator system for cells was the answer to our prayers. Their technology allowed us to safely build a new trachea for our patient and virtually eliminated the risk of contamination.

The enhanced flexibility of the system allows me to have reduced staffing and staff flexibility. Technicians efficiently move back and forth within reduced classification suites. In addition, the enhanced reagent flow in and out of the operating space is a plus for our multiple trials. Another advantage of the technology is our ability to separate our processes – if we make changes to one unit the rest of them are unchanged.

Bristol-Myers Squibb selected the BioSpherix Isolator for the soft, clear design of the isolator fact and its tactile gloves. We also especially liked the versatility provided by the modular units that made customizing modules of different configurations very easy. At FAT, the team was impressed with the ability of the Isolator to rapidly clear particle counts.

The other big advantage is between BioSpherix isolators vs. traditional stainless steel isolators, is that I can rearrange these modules however I want. That is a huge advantage when developing a strategy for cell therapy replacement. There’s a lot we don’t know, so modularity is key.
